November 2017 Newsletter

Coiled Family,

We wish to extend our warmest thanks for your support at the 2017 Fall Allotment Event. It was the most fun we have had yet and certainly hope that you all feel the same.

For those who were unable to attend the event, we certainly missed you!  You are still welcome to come enjoy all of the new releases and pick up your allotments at either location.  We are open in Garden City Thursday-Sunday Noon-6pm.  We are open in our downtown Wine Bar location Tuesday-Friday 3pm-10pm and Saturdays 1pm-10pm.

When you come by to pick up your wine, please remember that you are welcome to exchange or add to your allotment to include your favorites.

Coiled has a very busy and fun-filled November in store, too!  We are adding a series of monthly happenings in the downtown location and are thrilled to share our first Thanksgiving weekend in both of our new locations with you.  It will be a bit different than it's looked in the past.  In part, we really wanted to offer a different, cozy alternative to the traditional barrel tasting while still giving something special for both club and followers, alike.  So, check it all out!  I look forward to seeing everyone  throughout the month.

I hope you all have a beautiful Thanksgiving and get to catch up with you soon!

Cheers to cooler weather and fall fun!
Kelly

A Note From Leslie...

Dear Coiled Supporters-

It was such a treat to see so many of you at our Club Release on the 22nd.  These events allow us to touch base with you on what we have been up to and to share stories about the new wines we are releasing. It always leaves me a little sentimental, like looking through a photo album.  Time passes so quickly.  It is a treat to slow down and reflect on the highlights of the past 6 months.

Harvest is winding down for me.  I still have all my tanks full of Riesling, and reds are going through secondary fermentation, but the day to day has gotten much easier.  I even have a few fun trips planned in November so I can catch up with Ross and the kids after the whirlwind.

This time of year we get busy with a lot of social activities and private parties at the winery.  I also have a couple upcoming bottling projects.   At the end of the month, we will get Winter Banter in bottle and Rizza will be bottled for its second fermentation at the beginning of December.

We will not be participating in the Barrel Tasting Weekend this year.  Instead, we invite you to cozy up with Coiled by the fireplace.  Come enjoy wine and soup, along with live music and Library wines for sale.  It has been such a crazy year and we want to enjoy a more low-key holiday weekend with you.  We expect to be pretty busy, so we will not do our standard tastings.  Wines will be available by the glass and bottle, with normal club discounts.

The biggest project we are working on at the moment is our website.  We are completely redoing it and hope to be done in another week or so.  Our previous site was in dire need of improvement, but we put it on hold while opening our new spaces.  The new website is on a platform that we can easily change and update, so we hope it will be much more user-friendly and informative for you.  We will let you know when it is up.

I have a lot of writing to do do for the new website, so I better get to it.  What a treat to work from home, by the fireplace, in my jammies, with dogs at my feet!

Stay cozy!
Leslie
